Terroir

This distinction is the conclusion of a rigorous and transparent assessment procedure consisting of the analysis and tasting of all the wines produced in the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin. After a vegetative cycle with optimal ripening of the grapes, in the last few months extraordinary results were observed in the evaluation of the fermentation tanks, The balance of the 2019 campaign focuses on the excellent health and vegetative situation of the vineyard and the condition of the clusters, loose, well aerated and accompanied by the moderate vigour of the plants. The result is very expressive white wines, with a great volume on the palate, in line with the reds.

HARVEST 2019 Rated as ‘EXCELLENT’, this is a milestone that has not occurred since 2011. A vintage that reflects the true mastery of time management by our winegrowers and winemakers.

Vinification

Its geographical location is privileged, as it combines on the one hand the moderating effect of the river Ebro on the temperature, as well as being an agent that shapes the soil, and on the other hand we find the Sierra de Codés, which is a continuation of the w orographic group of the Sierra de Cantabria, which protects us from excessive rain and extreme temperatures. These unique characteristics create a mild climate that allows the grapes to Yay ripen optimally.

The vineyard from which the grapes come from is located in the Eastern Rioja, specifically in the area of Mendavia.
